The project focused on detailed spend analysis, market assessment, and a review of fixed versus activity-based commercial models to address rising costs and operational risk. Through a structured negotiation strategy, Amplify achieved an improvement of over 140% between the initial supplier offer and the accepted outcome. The new contract provided service continuity, improved commercial terms, and created flexibility to pursue alternative suppliers and pricing models in future contract years.

Flying towards a greener future - Helping our airline client achieve their sustainability goals
Amplify partnered with a major international airline group to support its goal of eliminating single-use plastics (SUP) by 2027. A risk assessment was conducted, to identify all SUP products across our clients supply base. As part of the go-to-market strategy, Amplify conducted market research and analysed spend patterns which supported the formulation of plans to address, significant uncontracted spend, lack of formal pricing mechanisms, and inconsistent supplier reporting. The negotiations led by Amplify, achieved a 21% improvement from first to final offer. Beyond commercial results, the project introduced advanced safety requirements, including live trip tracking and telematics. This transformed the category, replacing the fragmented approach and delivering better value for our client and its pilots.

Taking a load off by delivering carry-on baggage compliance solutions for leading airline
A leading airline engaged Amplify to lead a tender process for carry-on baggage sizing tools and associated airport signage. The project was part of a broader transformation project with wayfaring, fare models and passenger experience being the focus. Facing a limited supply market, tight budget and tight deadlines, Amplify created a discovery-led tender with a phased product roll out. This agile approach allowed Amplify to define hardware upgrades (i.e. weighing tools and wayfaring signage) while ensuring digital integration with control systems for greater boarding compliance. By bridging the gap between technical ambiguity and commercial necessity, Amplify delivered a value-for-money contract award that met an accelerated timeline and client's fixed launch date.

A leading private hospital engaged Amplify to deliver a competitive pathology services tender linked to on-site leasing arrangements. Amplify led the end-to-end sourcing process, including tender documentation development, supplier engagement, evaluation, negotiations, and contracting. A leading national provider of private pathology, medical centres and medical imaging services partnered with Amplify to drive efficiencies, standardise service, deliver savings and to bring consistency across hundreds of suppliers for their facilities management spend. Amplify worked closely with our client to design a sourcing strategy, consolidate suppliers though a robust tender exercise and to develop and award smarter, more efficient contracts. The result was $2.2M in savings across cleaning and waste, along with improved service quality, clearer accountability, stronger supplier relationships, and strengthened compliance with Fair Wage and Modern Slavery Act requirements.

Conceiving better value across IVF consumables spend for national laboratory service provider
A leading national provider of private laboratory and pathology services were seeking to identify rapid savings opportunities for medical supplies within its IVF business. Amplify conducted a diagnostic exercise through a combination of spend analysis, stakeholder interviews and industry benchmarking to quantify the savings available. Findings from the diagnostic review indicated a good level of maturity and procurement best practice already underway, regardless additional opportunities were identified by Amplify with 10% savings identified across 4 ‘quick win’ initiatives.

A significant government Health shared services organisation partnered with Amplify to support the development of category management plans across key portfolios of spend such as Medical Equipment, Prostheses, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Consumables, Pathology and key Indirect categories such as Facilities Management, Travel and Catering. Amplify deployed key subject matter experts on each of the categories to assist with rapid opportunity assessment and savings identification. Through data analysis, stakeholder workshops and opportunity assessment, Amplify addressed $2.9B spend, and supported our client in identifying a savings pipeline of $364M over 5 years.

Joint effort to make every beat count on Cardiovascular and Orthopaedic spend for significant public Health client
A significant Australian government health agency was seeking to deliver sustainable savings from the state-wide prostheses expenditure. The key challenges our client faced included, significant levels of non-contracted spend, fragmented demand, multiple price points for the same product and uncompetitive pricing. Amplify transformed the category through running competitive tender processes, implementing banded pricing commercial models and establishing contracts. Furthermore, Amplify ensured the savings negotiated were realised by conducting clinical engagement with surgeons at a hospital level to standardise product selections, and to use this consolidation of demand to access the most favourable price band. Subsequently, $50M savings were realised with a further $21M of savings enabled, 100% of spend was also brought under contract.

Following on from a program of work with a significant Australian government health agency to establish new contracts for their Prostheses category. Our client re-engaged Amplify to create custom analytics dashboards for the Orthopaedic and Cardiovascular contracts, giving teams real-time visibility into spend, market share, and supplier performance. The tools enabled scenario modelling, smarter decision-making, and stronger contract compliance and management. By simplifying reporting and enhancing capability across contract end users, our client now drives more consistent, value-based outcomes and continuous improvement across its significant prostheses expenditure.

Disrupting the market through Switch Savings for large government Health agency
Amplify identified an opportunity to optimise Medical Consumables panel arrangements for a major public sector health agency, through developing a Switch Savings program. The program involved conducting analysis, specification comparison, clinical engagement, and supplier negotiations to determine 'preferred products' to standardise all hospital sites to. The products selected ensured best clinical practice, achieved value for money, and generated significant efficiency for the health system. Amplify identified a total of $26M savings, through clinical roadshows and compliance reporting, $9M of the available savings were within 6 months. Amplify also achieved additional savings of $5M through negotiating improved pricing from suppliers bidding to become the supplier of choice.

Value Based Healthcare project delivers standardised approach to Wound Management for leading Health agency.
Amplify identified the requirement for and lead the delivery of a state-wide wound care project for a leading Health agency. The project involved the development of a unified and evidence based Wound Care Formulary, which Amplify developed to identify the best pathway and products for Wound treatment based on clinical efficacy and evidence. Through extensive engagement with the chronic wound taskforce, Amplify successfully streamlined product brands in use across the health system by 62%. This rationalisation improved patient outcomes, limited the burden on the health system from sub-optimal wound treatments, simplified product selections for clinicians, saving time on clinical decision making, and eliminating wastage from incorrect product selection. It also delivered $4M in savings. The resulting formulary ensures consistent, high-quality wound care outcomes across the health system, balancing clinical excellence with significant commercial efficiency for a truly value based approach.
